West Main Campus Announcements

Lakota West’s On-line Literary magazine is now taking submissions for the fall issue.  Please email poetry, short stories, novel excerpts, and photography to lwhslitclub@gmail.com – or see the flier in your English teacher’s room.  Submissions run through October 20.  See Jack Fogel, Erin Linberg, or Mahoney for further details.

Open Bowling has been cancelled for this afternoon, Thursday, October 19th.

Lakota West HOSA is having a fundraiser! They are selling first aid kits starting at $15. If you are interested, please stop by room 285 anytime after 4th bell! The fundraiser ends November 1st.

Interested in trying out for the Boys Basketball Team?  There will be a mandatory meeting on Thursday, October 26 at 7:00 in the Community Room.   This is a MANDATORY meeting and you must attend with a parent to get information on tryouts, schedules,  and first few weeks of season practices.

Academic Quiz Team practice will begin on Monday, October 23 after school in room 222. Anyone is welcome! For further questions or details, see Mr. Avery in room 222.

Girls Basketball Open Gym Sunday Night, October 22, 6pm at Lakota West Main Campus. Mandatory Parent Meeting Monday Night October 23, 7pm Lakota West Main Campus gym.

There will be a murder-mystery French club meeting on October 31st after school. Members will need to sign up in order to attend this meeting. Sign ups and also French club t-shirt orders need to be made by October 20th in room 104.

Attention seniors - Are you interested in making some money on November 7?  The Butler County Board of Elections is looking for poll workers on Election Day.  If you are interested, please sign up in room 210 either before or after school or during your XH bell. 

The Rotary Four-Way Test Speech Contest is a chance for students to apply the test to their personal lives and experiences while talking about the concepts of leadership and service to others.  The Local Preliminary Presentation Event will be held Tuesday, March 6 at 3 p.m. at East High School, Room 128, and the presentation to the West Chester/Liberty Township Rotary Club will take place Friday, March 16, 2018 at 7:30 a.m., at Wetherington Country Club.   *The District Competition will take place on April 8, 2018 at Noon at Wright State University.

  • St Johns Craft Show Friday Dec 1 after school until 8 pm & Saturday Dec 2 6:45-4 pm at 9080 Cincinnati Dayton Rd 

    Cherokee CheetahFest Volunteers are needed! Friday, November 3, 2017 from 5:15 until 9:45 pm at Cherokee Elemenary School. Please sign up in the main office.
  • Reach Out Lakota is looking for volunteers to help bring donations from the shed in the back of the building into our sorting area on Monday evenings from 4-6pm. This opportunity is open to students that are at least 16 years old who are able to lift and carry bags or boxes of donations. Reach Out Lakota is located at 6561 Station Road in West Chester. Students interested in helping should use the link below to sign up online. Questions about volunteering should be directed to Lourdes Ward at lward@reachoutlakota.org.
