Students, if you have achieved a 3.67 GPA or higher, stop in the Guidance Office to pick up your free Cincinnati Reds Tickets!

Would you like to be a SPEAKER at Graduation? Start working on your speech! You will need a final version of your speech ready to present April 17 to the panel of teachers/counselors/principals who will make the final decision. Please sign up, and get more information, with Mrs. Jata in Guidance. 

Juniors and Sophomores 17-18 Parking Pass Applications are now available in the Front Office. ONLY complete Applications will be accepted! We will NOT be able to make copies of license and registration! 

SGA interviews have been moved to tomorrow day due to faculty meetings and exams.

Any students involved in the Various Views internship, please see Mr. Avery this week for information about the internship and credit for your assignment and transcripts.

2017 Yearbooks are on sale online. You can place your order at www.ybpay.lifetouch.com. Yearbooks start at $75 and will be for sale through May 8th. After May 8th, Lifetouch will shut down the link and you will be unable to order your yearbook, so get on that today.

Would you like to represent the LW Firebirds at the Flying Pig? The Flying Pig has asked for Mascots from the area to take part in a MASCOT RACE! Let Mrs. Addington or Mrs. Henley in the Front Office know if you are interested.

Scholarship Opportunities

  • Seniors PTSO Scholarship application are available in the Front Office and in Guidance. 10-$500.00 Scholarships are available! Applications and essays are due April 7.
  • OSBA is accepting applications for the 2017 OSBA's Black Caucus Leo Lucas Scholarship, a program that provides graduating ethnically diverse high-school seniors funds for college. The program is named for the late Leo Lucas, a Dayton City school board member and educator who founded the caucus. Applications are available by clicking here for a pdf version or here for a Word version. The application deadline is March 3, 2017.   • Ethics for Young People: Students of Integrity Scholarships. $1,000 scholarships for post-secondary education for high school Juniors from The Center for Ethics at BBB. Resolve ethical dilemmas in essay format.

    It’s a tried and true statement: The students of today will be the leaders of tomorrow. That’s why it’s important to teach students how to make ethical decisions.
  • ATTENTION SENIOR GUYS. HAVE YOU PARTICIPATED IN AT LEAST TWO HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS? If yes, there is a $500 scholarship opportunity available just for you. Please stop by Guidance and pick up information on the Jeff Stamper Athletic Scholarship.
